Blepharoplasty
How Blepharoplasty Works
Like all procedures, your blepharoplasty starts with a consultation with Dr. Reilly. He will examine the skin around your eyes and determine if a blepharoplasty is the right procedure to address your concerns. The goal is twofold: to learn your goals and find the best treatment(s) to meet them.
On the day of your procedure, you’ll come into the office and be given either local or general anesthesia. Local anesthesia is all that’s necessary for an upper eyelid lift, while a lower eyelid lift may require general anesthesia. Once you’re anaesthetized, Dr. Reilly will remove any excess skin or fatty tissue that might be causing the puffiness or bags around your eyes.
Why You Should Choose Dr. Reilly
Obviously, your eyes are one of your most important sensory organs. People are looking at them all day, every day. If you’re considering a blepharoplasty, it’s essential to find an experienced surgeon with skills you can trust. A surgeon without the right skills and experience could leave you with unsightly results or even damage your vision. Turn to Dr. Reilly. During his decades in plastic surgery, he’s performed hundreds of blepharoplasties. He has the skill and experience to give your eyes the refreshed, youthful look you want. Whether you want to remove crepe-paper type wrinkles on the lower eyelids or remove loose skin on the upper eyelids, he can do it. Keep in mind, too, that Dr. Reilly is always there for his patients. He sees them for every pre-op and post-op appointment in addition to the consultation and surgery itself. Many plastic surgeons don’t do this. Fewer still give out their cell phone numbers, like Dr. Reilly does, so patients can call them directly if they have questions or concerns. Patients throughout Connecticut trust Dr. Reilly with blepharoplasties, and once you meet with him, you’ll understand why! Take the first step to younger-looking eyes today. FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Are your upper eyelids puffy, loose, sagging, or drooping? Do you have undereye bags or saggy lower eyelid skin? If you answered yes to these questions, you could be a good candidate for a blepharoplasty. Dr. Reilly can give you a full exam and let you know if this is the right procedure for you or if another procedure might give the results you want.
All surgeries leave scars, so yes, this procedure will leave a scar. However, Dr. Reilly is an expert when it comes to placing incisions. He’ll make sure your scars are completely unnoticeable.
The size of the scar will depend on what Dr. Reilly needs to do to sculpt your arms. Rest assured that this will be discussed with you beforehand. The scar is only as long as it needs to be to give you the best result possible, never longer!
You’ll get a detailed care plan from Dr. Reilly as soon as your surgery is complete. Recovery from a blepharoplasty is relatively quick.
Because each surgery is tailored to the patient’s individual goals, costs vary from patient to patient. You can discuss the cost with Dr. Reilly’s staff at your initial consultation. Rest assured that there are many payment and financing options available.
