Breast Augmentation

How It Works

Breast Augmentation

Before your operation, you’ll have a one-on-one consultation with Dr. Reilly where you can talk about your goals. Together, you’ll determine what breast enhancements you’d like and choose the type, size, and shape of implant that’s right for you. Dr. Reilly will methodically walk you through each step and help you preview your results, so you can make an informed decision.

On the day of your surgery, you’ll arrive at the designated hospital and made comfortable with anesthesia. Dr. Reilly will then operate and place your breasts implants. Once he is satisfied with how they will look, you’ll be stitched up and sent to the recovery room.

Rest assured that you’ll have all the time you need in the recovery room. As soon as you’re ready, Dr. Reilly will provide you with detailed aftercare instructions. You’ll then return to the comfort of your home to recover from the surgery, and as soon as you’re healed, you’ll be able to show off your larger, fuller breasts in swimsuits, cocktail dresses, flattering tops, or anything you choose!

Dr. Reilly offers three of the most popular breast implant options which include saline, silicone and gummy bear breast implants. Saline implants are inserted into the breast and filled to its desired volume with saline fluid. This type of fluid has the same consistency of water. Silicone breast implants are composed of an inert polymer whose molecules stick together in a cohesive matrix. They have a higher viscosity than water. The third option are commonly referred to gummy bear breast implants because of their gel-based material. They are rising in popularity since they’re able to retain their shape better. No matter the size or shape, Dr. Reilly is the experienced surgeon you’ve been looking for.

I went to Dr. Reilly for a breast augmentation with crease incision (310cc cohesive silicone). The office staff were really nice and helped ease my stress since I was a little nervous. Dr Reilly spent lots of time talking with me, going over options, answering questions. I felt like he helped me find the right options for what I was looking for. The surgery was done under general anesthesia at Griffin Hospital (I saw him in his Shelton, CT office) and everything went great. I am so pleased with the results. hopbrooklane

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Call us if you have any more questions. (203) 402-8041

  • How do I know if I’m a candidate for the procedure?

Women in good health and of a healthy weight who believe their breasts are too small and not full enough are good candidates for breast augmentations. If you’re considering this surgery, you should also know that you should not be pregnant or breastfeeding.

If you meet all of these conditions, Dr. Reilly can meet with you for a detailed consultation. He can help you see just how your new breasts will look and make sure that a breast augmentation is the right procedure to get the results you want.

  • Will this procedure leave scars?

Dr. Reilly will have to make incisions to place the implants, so the procedure will leave scars. He will place the incisions in a discreet place like your armpit, breast fold, around the areola, or in your belly button. As a result, these scars should be unlikely to show in day-to-day life, and you should be able to wear flattering, revealing clothes to show off your new breasts.

  • What’s the recovery like after the surgery?

This is a major surgery, so you’ll get a detailed care plan from Dr. Reilly. He’ll be sure to go over everything with you, so you know what to do, what not to do, and what “tips and tricks” you can follow to recover faster and in a healthier way. You’ll have to relax for a few days after the surgery, but you should be able to shower after a day and return to a sedentary office job after a week.

  • How much will the surgery cost?

Because each surgery is tailored to the patient’s individual goals, costs vary from patient to patient. You can discuss the cost with Dr. Reilly’s staff at your initial consultation. Rest assured that there are many payment and financing options available.
